The Ask
I’m asking for your support, your energy, and your vote on November 3rd.
Together, we can stop settling for "good enough" and start building a county where every resident has the chance to win.
Integrity and Common Sense
Accurate data only matters if it is handled with integrity. Common sense tells us that the system should work for the person paying the bill, not the bureaucracy collecting it.
I believe in a "Fair, Proactive, Accurate, and Transparent" approach.
· Fair means no one pays a penny more than their legal share.
· Proactive means we reach out to you with updates before you have to ask.
· Accurate means using modern technology to eliminate the "guessing games."
· Transparent means you will always know how and why your property was valued the way it was.
The Chief Real Estate Officer
Most people view the Assessor as a back-office bureaucrat who simply generates a tax bill. I see it differently.
I view this office as the Chief Real Estate Officer for St. Louis County.
We sit on a mountain of property data that is the most valuable economic resource in the region.
Under my leadership, that data will no longer sit idle on a computer system. It will be a compass for our entire region. I will use our insights to advise policymakers on growth and economic development, collaborate with other departments to prevent deed theft and other property crimes, and be outspoken against legislation and policies that could be detrimental to property values.
We need an Assessor who can have a seat at the table and can identify exactly where our economy is struggling and where it is primed for a comeback.
By providing accurate, real-time analysis, we can shape policies that attract investment while ensuring our current residents aren't left behind. We aren't just measuring bricks and mortar; we are measuring the pulse of our regional prosperity.
Protecting the Nest Egg
This mission is critical for every neighborhood, but it is urgent for our communities in distress. For the vast majority of Americans, our home is more than just a shelter; it is our biggest asset and our primary nest egg.
Our home represents years of sacrifice, responsibility, and the hope of generational wealth.
When the assessment process fails, it doesn't just result in an aggravating bill—it can create a crisis - and that has rarely been more true than today.
As your Assessor, I will tackle the issues that threaten your security head-on:
· The Appraisal Gap & Displacement: We must end the cycles where flawed valuations lead to displacement or prevent families from getting the home loans they deserve.
· Deed Fraud & Financial Literacy: We will be aggressive in protecting homeowners from predatory fraud and providing the literacy tools needed to navigate the complexities of property ownership.
· The Housing Ladder: We must develop a resilient housing ladder across both the City and the County. We need the inventory and the resources to ensure that even when people find themselves in difficult situations, we have a system that helps them get back on their feet and stay in a stable home.
Advocacy Without Borders
I will not just be an advocate for you within the walls of the the Assessor's office in Clayton. I will be your voice in your municipality and a frequent face in Jefferson City.
We need state-level policies that reflect the reality of our local housing market. I intend to be the strongest voice in the room fighting for the taxpayers of St. Louis County, ensuring that our state laws protect the homeowner and encourage responsible growth.
A Winning County
This campaign isn't just about a title; it’s about a commitment.
It’s about ensuring that the foundation of our local economy is solid, fair, and working toward the same goal we all share: a St. Louis County that is growing, equitable, and strong.
